SHINee’s Onew made his musical debut with Brothers were Brave recently and has received plenty of love from the audience and fans alike. With his early success in the theater business, he thanked SNSD’s Jessica for her help.
Many of you will remember that Jessica was in her own musical not too long ago. She played Elle Woods for Legally Blonde and received much positive feedback for both her voice and acting. What you may not know is that Jessica helped Onew get casted for Brothers were Brave. Onew shared, “Because of my senior Jessica’s recommendation, I got cast for this musical.”
Onew also commented, “Out of 10, I don’t think I’m even a 5 yet. During the first opening night, I didn’t make any mistakes but the next night, I messed up a lot. During the highlight of the musical, I was supposed to say that I was 28 years old but instead, I said, ‘I am 38 years old.’ I will try my best to become an actor who continues to make less mistakes and whose score gradually grows higher.”
I’m glad to see the SM family helping each other out! And no worries Onew! As time goes on, I’m sure you’ll be the actor of the idol generation!

Back in February we reported that SHINee’s Onew was going to have the lead role of Joo-Bong in the musical Brothers Were Brave. A few days ago ETN gave you a preview of Onew practicing and earlier today the first show ran and Onew made his official debut in the musical.
Onew has been getting rave reviews after his first show, and given his talents I can see why. In addition, happy birthday to Jonghyun who turns 20 today (21 in Korea). Thanks to mangatang2809 & Marilen for the tip and check out the fan cams / photos below.

SHINee专题完结篇： 粉丝：如果不追SHINee 会感到失落
除了在网上追新闻、看视频，粉丝对来新的韩国组合都非常热情，也非常期待。记者与菀之、舒慧与恺晴做访问时，她们不时提到"stalk SHINee"这两个字。"Stalk"原指偷偷跟踪某人的意思。现在，粉丝却以"stalk"来指追踪偶像的行为/任务，可见在粉丝中，这样的追踪行为相当普遍。
偶像难得来新 粉丝：追是值得的
SHINee三月来新时，菀之在机场守候了3天却扑了个空。但她没有放弃，并在新加坡e乐大赏庆功派对和音乐会上成功地见到偶像。e乐大赏庆功派对后的星期天，菀之、舒慧与恺晴更是与大约其他7位粉丝一起包车全天追逐SHINee。从音乐会现场（IMM大厦）到酒店，之后SHINee用餐的餐馆，她们都不放过。包车的租金以每小时$38计算，9个小时下来大约$342，每人必须附$34。
除了金钱，粉丝花时间打听偶像的行程，在偶像出没的地方守候，她们三人都认为很值得，因为韩国团体以往比较少在新加坡演出。SHINee五月将到马来西亚演出，如果时间与课业没冲突，菀之、舒慧与恺晴都很想去邻国观演，而那一趟的花费预计大约是$200。
偶像太瘦 粉丝心痛
刘恺晴自己是名中学生，看到偶像SHINee努力练舞并且排练，而且要兼顾学业，非常敬佩。五位男生体型都很瘦，恺晴说："他们太瘦了！看了会心痛。"
在新加坡e乐大赏庆功派对与IMM音乐会那两天，传闻SHINee组员Jonghyun不舒服，许多粉丝都表示关切，在论坛上也谈了一番。成为学校哈韩名人对韩国流行乐坛走向了如指掌的舒慧，除了为网络上的韩国实况节目做字幕翻译，也是SHINee其中一个论坛的管理员。舒慧为女生团体So Nyuh Shi Dae（简称SNSD）实况节目做过多次的字幕翻译，目前正专心地为SHINee参与的《Hello Baby》做字幕翻译。她对多首韩国舞曲非常熟悉，多次受邀当学校里的迎新会舞蹈指导，也因此在学弟妹眼中成了"哈韩达人"。
恺晴则在学校里是"哈韩女王"，更曾经在巴士车上听到学妹在讨论韩国艺人时也提到自己。
哈韩，成为了这群年轻人生命的一部分，学韩语是最基本的一项活动。恺晴会为了看韩国音乐节目，在课外活动结束后，赶搭德士回家。两位女生也说，她们在Facebook与MSN即时通讯上收到不少"朋友邀约" (friend add)，这些人也都是某某韩国组合的粉丝。
三位女生都承认，如果不追韩星，她们会感到失落，好像生命里少了些什么。
本地粉丝爱SHINee/韩国组合的多才多艺。粉丝提供的原因非常多，以下是记者整理出的三大原因：
1.能歌善舞
能够不对嘴地边唱边跳，而且精彩地把舞曲呈献给观众，是吸引粉丝们的首要原因。身为学校铜乐队成员的恺晴认为，歌曲的旋律是韩国歌曲受欢迎非常重要的因素。轻快的节奏，加上一些R&B与电音的结合，成了最卖的畅销舞曲。从Wondergirls的"Nobody "，Super Junior的"Sorry Sorry"，到SHINee的"Ring Ding Dong"，粉丝无不爱，熟悉的程度到了能够把舞步记熟，并且完整地表演出来。
所有受访粉丝都一致表示，爱上了SHINee或其他韩国组合的最大原因，就是他们的能歌善舞，这也是目前港台艺人比较弱的一环。
2.有亲和力
粉丝中，有不少是看实况节目而认识SHINee的。在2008年《SHINee's YunHaNam》节目里，嫩嫩的SHINee组员与年龄较大的熟女约会，这正是韩版的"百犬女王"情结，相信让不少熟女也心动了。2010年，SHINee在实况节目《Hello Baby》当起"奶爸"，负责照顾一位小朋友。每星期，嫣纯都期待上网《Hello Baby》，因为她觉得能够在节目中看到表演以外的SHINee，更真实的一面。
SHINee团长Onew的无厘头，是许多女粉丝为他着迷的一大原因。根据菀之叙述，Onew自认喜欢吃鸡肉，甚至考虑把自己以后的女朋友考虑叫"Chicken"，这样的"语出惊人"让大家印象深刻。
除了Jonghyun比较酷以外，其他三位Taemin，Minho和Key都以大男生的可爱笑容，虏获了粉丝的心。
3.外形亮眼
谈到偶像的外表，女粉丝都认为SHINee非常时尚亮眼。从初期的彩色造型，到近期较"man"的成熟有型都让她们爱不释手。男粉丝沈文全（18岁）则认为，SHINee的裤子看起来有点太紧，让人觉得有些不太舒服。
SHINee造型的多变，也是粉丝津津乐道的，也是他们争相模范的。菀之、舒慧与恺晴却不太喜欢其他粉丝模仿偶像造型，认为模仿者得没有创意，而且会被其他粉丝一同讨厌、批评并排挤。
由此可见，粉丝拥护偶像的意识是相当强烈的。记者就提问了，如果某一SHINee成员拍拖了，粉丝会有什么反应？一开始，大家都大声反对。接着，舒慧就说，其实她知道自己不可能和SHINee在一起，因此不应阻碍他们的幸福，而是要祝福他们才是对的。

Besides tracking news and watching videos on the net, fans were very enthusiastic to the Korean group who came to Singapore and were very looking-forward to it. When the journalist interviewed 菀之、舒慧 and 恺晴, they mentioned these two words "stalk SHINee" from time to time. "Stalk" originally had the meaning of secretly tracking a person. Now, fans use "stalk" to refer as tracking idols' activities/task, which can be seen among fans, this kind of tracking behaviour is quite common.
Idols seldom come to Singapore
Fan: Chasing them is worth it
When SHINee came to Singapore in March, 菀之 waited at the airport for three days but to no avail. But she didn't give up, during Singapore's e-Awards and showcase, she was successful in seeing her idol. After the e-Awards on Sunday, 菀之,舒慧 and 恺晴 booked a taxi together with about 7 other fans to chase SHINee the whole day. They didn't let go of the chance, from the venue of the showcase(IMM Garden Plaze) to their hotel, to the restaurant where SHINee dined at. The rent for booking taxi is calculated at $38 per hour, 9 hours would be about $342, everyone would need to pay $34. Besides money, fans spent their time to find out about their idols' schedule, waiting for their idols at places where they appear and disappear, all three of them believes it's worth it, because Korean group have fewer performances in Singapore. SHINee would be performing in May at Malaysia, if time and studies don't clash, 菀之、舒慧 and 恺晴 would want to go the the neighbouring country to see their performances, and the expenses of that trip are estimated at about $200.
Idols are too skinny, fans are heartbroken
刘恺晴 is a secondary student herself, she is full of admiration seeing idol SHINee working hard for their dance practice and rehearsals, but also taking into account their studies. Those five boys are very skinny, 恺晴 says: "They are too skinny already! Seeing it is heartbreaking." Those two days when there was the e-Awards and IMM showcase in Singapore, there was a rumor saying that SHINee's member JongHyun was not feeling well, many fans express their concern by discussing it at the forum.
Becoming a K-pop celebrity in school
舒慧 knows Korean pop music at her fingertips, besides translating Korean shows on the net, she is also one of SHINee's forum administrator. 舒慧 had translated many of SNSD's shows, at the moment she is concentrating on translating SHINee's 《Hello Baby》. She is very familar with many Korean dance, many times being invited to be her school's dance orientation instructor, hence becoming the schools' "K-pop expert". 恺晴 was her schools' "K-pop queen" and once heard her juniors mentioning her when discussing about Korean artists on the bus. K-pop, has become a part of this group of youngsters' life, learning Korean is the most basic activities. 恺晴 will take a taxi to rush home after her CCA(Co-Curricular Activity) ends, just to watch Korean music shows. Both girls also said, they also received many "friend add" on their Facebook and MSN, those people are also a fan of a certain Korean group. These three girls admitted, if they do not chase Korean stars, they will feel lost, as if there is something missing in their lives. Local fans love SHINee's/Korean groups' talents. Many reasons are provided by fans, below are the three main reasons that the journalist had sorted out.
1.Good at both singing and dancing
Able to sing and dance without lip-sync and also present to the audience their wonderful dances are the main reasons that attracts fans. As a member of the school brass band, 恺晴 feels that the rhythm of the dance is the most important factor why Korean music is popular. A lively rhythm, plus the combination of some R&B with electronic music, becomes the most popular dance music sold. From Wondergirls' "Nobody", Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry", to SHINee's "Ring Ding Dong", fans love it all, when it becomes familar they can memorise the dance steps, and then performing it completely. All fans that have been interviewed have the same opinion, the main reason they were attracted to SHINee or other Korean groups are because of their ability to sing and dance, at the moment, this is also weak point for Hong Kong and Taiwan artists.
2.They are easy-going
Among tht fans, there are many who watched live programmes and got to know SHINee. In 2008 《SHINee's YunHaNam》, gentle SHINee member dated nunas, this is the Korean version of "My Queen"(A Taiwanese show) complex, causing many nunas' heart to skip a beat. In 2010, SHINee became babysitters in 《Hello Baby》, they are responsible for taking care of a small kid. Every week, 嫣纯 look forward to surfing the net for 《Hello Baby》, because she feels that from the programme, she can see SHINee's true side besides their performance. SHINee's leader Onew condition is a big reason that many female fans are attracted to him. According to 菀之, Onew confessed that he love eating chicken, and even considered calling his future girlfriend as "Chicken", leaving a deep impression on everyone. Besides JongHyun who is quite cool, the other three members, TaeMin, MinHo & Key with their cute grown-up smile, capture the heart of many fans.
3.Attractive appearance
Talking about idols' appearance, female fans think that SHINee is very fashionally attractive. From colorful concept in the early days, to the more "man" of the recent mature concept, female fans are also attracted. Male fan 沈文全（18） feels that SHINee's pants looks a bit too tight that some people feel uncomfortable. SHINee's concept varies, which is also fans' interest and who they want to follow. However, 菀之,舒慧 and 恺晴 don't really like other fans following idols' concept as they feel that those fans do not have creativity, and will be hated, criticised and excluded by other fans. This shows that fans are aware of their strong support to their idols. The journalist then asked, if one of the SHINee member dated, what would be their reaction? At first, everyone loudly opposed, after that, 舒慧 then said, actually she knows that she cannot be with SHINee, so she shouldn't obstruct their happiness, but rather give them her blessing.

SHINee专题（4）：粉丝们的追星日记
今年2月与3月，韩国男生组合SHINee来新演出时，受到了歌迷的热烈欢迎。3月的行程相当紧凑，除了出席新加坡e乐大赏庆功派对，他们也在IMM的露天广场举行的"SHINee 《2009 Year Of Us》音乐会"。单单音乐会就吸引了数千粉丝出席，有一部分甚至漏夜排队，也了就是能够更贴近偶像。据《联合晚报》报道，SHINee抵新后，一路就有不少歌迷全曾追踪；庆功派对结束，SHINee回酒店后，仍有不少歌迷痴痴在他们所下榻的酒店外等候。
出道仅1年半的SHINee在本地主流媒体不常曝光，但是却受到本地年轻粉丝的热烈欢迎。非粉丝林玉春（25岁）不太了解这样的现象，认为粉丝追的应该只是"面孔"和"包装"而已。这种追逐，应该不会长久，
因为只要有更"帅"的团体出现，粉丝可能就会转移目标。23岁的丁文婷则觉得，本地粉丝可以从网络、电台与附费电视频道得知韩国艺人的消息，因此他们受欢迎并不稀奇。
omy就访问了6位年龄介于15到24岁的哈韩年轻人，看他们有什么说法。
通过网络认识SHINee点滴
18岁的理工生张菀之曾经是Super Junior的粉丝，后来经网络认识到了SHINee，就被"煞"到了。一开始，菀之在youtube上看到了《SHINee's YunHaNam》实况节目而开始注意到这组合。她甚至把SHINee介绍给姐姐张嫣纯（24岁），结果姐姐也着迷。在这之前，嫣纯是比较喜欢另一个韩国男生团体2PM。现在，她却被SHINee吸引，认为他们非常有亲和力。
同样是理工生的胡佩馨（19岁）则是追看在本地也有播映的韩国高人气剧集《花样男子》而迷上了主题曲《Stand By Me》，引起了她对原唱者SHINee的好奇心。

From February to March this year, when Korean boyband SHINee came here to perform, they were warmly welcomed by fans. March's schedule was very tight, besides attending Singapore e-Awards, SHINee also held their "SHINee 《2009 Year Of Us》 showcase" at IMM's garden plaza. Got to know every bit about SHINee through the net
18 year old Poly student 张菀之 was once a Super Junior fan, but after getting to know SHINee throught the net, she was "hooked". At first, 菀之 watched 《SHINee's YunHaNam》 reality show at Youtube and started to notice this group. She even introduced SHINee to her older sister 张嫣纯(24), in the end her sister also became a SHINee fan. Before this, 嫣纯 liked another Korean boyband,2PM, more. However, she is attracted to SHINee now and she thinks that SHINee is very easy-going. Similarly, Poly student 胡佩馨（19）, was watching Korea's popular drama 《Boys over flowers》 which was shown in Singapore and was attracted to the theme song 《Stand By Me》, arousing her curiousity about SHINee who sang the song. A journalist typed "SHINee" at YouTube and found that there were over 5000 videos. Among it, 《Ring Ding Dong》 MV which was uploaded about 5 months ago, had already accumulated nearly 6 million hits. Indeed, information regarding SHINee on the internet are countless. During the interview, almost all the young K-pop fans will go to allkpop.com to track their idols news in Korea. Some websites also translated Korea's entertainment news into English so that it will be convenient for international K-pop fans to read. Besides, SHINee's fans have also set up many blogs and forums to share information of their idols. Fans have the same opinion, saying that buying SHINee's album or merchandise in Singapore is not easy, therefore the net became their main source. Among them, three fans 黄舒慧（19）, 刘恺晴（15） and 张菀之, ordered SHINee's Photobook(About $50 for one book, including transportation charges), album($25), even SHINee lightsticks($13) respectively through the net. 佩馨 then revealed that after the two sisters got to know SHINee through her and they are now quite wildly collecting SHINee's merchandise, including idols' cards, phone straps, etc.

SHINee’s Hello Baby is coming to and end and it’s time for the boys to say their official goodbyes. We reported earlier that the boys teared up while saying goodbye and we have the clips of these tearful boys now.
Since the baby is so cute, it must be very hard for them to say goodbye.
It was endearing to see the boys tear while saying goodbye. Minho wishes luck for Yoogeun’s future as a father. Minho started out choking up whereas Key choked up at the end of his message.
Then the boys all say goodbye at the end and the baby probably didn’t realize what was going on. The baby sure is a one lucky baby who can grow up and say that SHINee was his babysitter.
They all seem to have really enjoyed the time on the show. It was SNSD first and now SHINee has ended their babysitting time as well.

On April 6th (KST), KBS JOY will air its last episode of SHINee’s Hello Baby as the members teared up on screen.
SHINee began season 2 of Hello Baby back in January and has since spent 3 months playing the role of fathers to a young child. Unfortunately, things had to come to an end ultimately, and so the members created a time capsule for their baby to remember them.
During this, leader Onew said, “Would he remember us when he’s turned 20?” This question definitely caused the other members to think deeply as well on whether or not their “son” would remember them.
In the final moments, one particular member tore up and cried himself a river. Who was this member? You’ll just have to watch the finale to find out!
Since the first season was a girl group and the second season was a guy group, will the third season be a girl group again? Any guesses as to who will be appearing on season 3?

本地主流媒体对韩国年轻人气偶像组合SHINee的报道并不多，加上年轻人时常使用电脑，粉丝要获取他们偶像的最新消息，往往都会通过互联网。SHINee的魅力无法挡，在刚过去的e-乐大赏庆功派对上，他们的出场引起一波接一波的骚动，尖叫声不绝于耳。除了领取”e乐推崇亚洲新生代“奖，他们还边唱边跳，让出席大会的万名观众疯狂沸腾。在yzone.omy.sg/网页上的《最受欢迎韩国组合》投选活动中，在七天里有近300名韩流粉丝，为他们的心怡偶像进行投选。在众多组合中，SHINee排名第二，占总票数的23.8%，仅次于27.9%支持率的Super Junior；第三名则是SS501，13.5%。供读者投选的还包括了F.T Island、Big Bang、Wondergirls、东方神起等组合。

Singapore media have not reported much about Korea's popular idol group SHINee, but with the increase in number of teenagers frequently using the computer, fans usually get their information about their idols from the internet. SHINee's charm is irresistible, during the recent Singapore Entertainment Awards 2010, fans screamed continuously when SHINee went on stage to perform. Besides receiving the New Generation Artiste award, SHINee also performed three of their hit songs and their fans all screamed and cheered loudly for them.
In a Most Popular Kpop Group? poll on yzone.omy.sg, within 7 days, nearly 300 Kpop fans voted for their favourite idols. Among the groups, SHINee was the second most popular with a total vote of 23.8%, just slightly behind Super Junior, who has a total vote of 27.9%; third is SS501, with a total vote of 13.5%. Other nominees included F.T Island, Big Bang, Wondergirls, DBSK, etc.
Also, omy conducted an interview with 40 publics, and nearly half of them know SHINee. Among these interviewees, majority of them are students, aged between 13 and 25, and a minority of them are above 25. Most of them got to know about SHINee through their friends and classmates.
A Korean female interviewee expressed that SHINee is very popular in Korea, and most of the people who like them are teenagers. However, she herself prefers another Kpop group. The results of this interview have shown that SHINee's fans in Singapore are mostly girls. Two girls who were interviewed also said that if SHINee holds a concert in Korea, they would not hesitate to fly to Korea to support their idols.
Besides interviewing the public, omy also interviewed 3 mega fans of SHINee. When SHINee came to Singapore recently, they chased their idols day and night, and although it is tiring, they enjoyed the process and gained new friendships. They have shared their thoughts about chasing stars and SHINee-related products they own.
The interview has also shown that SHINee fans mainly get their information from the internet and that Singapore?s local media have been reporting very little about them. In the first episode of an upcoming series of reports, Korean music guru and ex- radio DJ 陈丽仪 and NUS researcher 廖继权 will share with us the reason of this trend.

their songs and everything are daebak without needing any saying
the other kpop grps, i either only like one of the member or a few
but as for SHINee,
i love all 5 of them
though not everyone noes them
but that's the minority
they are still being a very successful comtemporary band in SG
firstly, they are not advertised much
secondly, they only come for a few times
thirdly, they only debuted 2 yrs ago
unlike TVXQ&SUJU
their fanbase may not be as large as their two sunbae bands
but their fanbase is not what others can look down on
i actually agree to the fact that
coz their age are quite young
nearing to teenage age
hence their fans are mostly teenages and youngsters
SHINee felt more like a friend thn an idol to me
since our age gap is not that big
unlike FRH,
im like 14 yrs younger thn CHUN
but despite the big age difference
i still love FRH!
but SHINee&FRH account for different places in my heart
since FRH and mii has a bigger age gap
i treat them as idols
but SHINee would be a different case
no matter what,
i love both groups!
seriously if SHINee is holding a concert in KOREA
i may be thinking of flying thr to see them
i can take up jobs and save money just to fly thr

and TAETAE plus MINHO oppa has their solo parts
besides this,
they are going to perform this song on SBS INKIGAYO
it was planned this week actually
but since all music shows are postponed due to the naval ship tragedy
it will be on nxt week
shall rmb to watch the live stream nxt week:)
SHINee will be busy even aft their comeback
they have to perform on all 3 music shows, SBS, KBS& M!NET
they are also performing at SNSD Shanghai concert on 17April
thn they still have this DREAM CONCERT 2010 on 22May
