Earlier in January of 2010, popular Korean actress Goo Hye Sun was in Taiwan upon invitation by the Taiwan Tourism Organization to join in a project to promote tourism in Taiwan.

Goo Hye Sun’s popularity had soared after the conclusion of the drama Boys Over Flowers, especially in Taiwan where she was awarded the Best Asia Female Actress by Yahoo Taiwan last December.

For this project, she acted in the MV titled Touch Your Heart together with Taiwan’s hottest boy group, Fahrenheit where filming took place over 2 days. In the MV, you will see Goo Hye Sun being brought around by the Fahrenheit members and to famous tourist spots like Shilin Night Market, Beitou Hot Springs, etc.


The MV has finally been released on March 24th and Fahrenheit themselves will fly down to Seoul for a fanmeeting at the Melon Ax Hall on March 26th.

Besides meeting their fans, they will also help in promoting tourism in Taiwan and Goo Hye Sun will also appear as their special guest.




This MV is for the Japan market though which explains the Japanese subtitles.

Back in November, news broke of SHINee’s latest gig as the new faces for Mexicana Chicken.

The boys followed the popular poultry trend that swept the entertainment scene in 2009 and now we can finally see the fruits of their labor! Two different versions of the CF were released today. The boys were featured lookin’ fly as they danced and dined on fried chicken in slow motion. I’m not really sure which looks better in these two CFs: SHINee or the chicken? As reported earlier, the SHINee boys made a 2nd visit to Singapore recently for the 2nd Singapore Entertainment Awards and they certainly wowed the fans again and showed everyone how popular they were in the country.

SHINee were among a glittering array of Asian stars who were at the Marina Bay floating platform where the best talents in Singapore and Asia were recognized for their efforts in the entertainment industry on March 13th.

But the loudest cheers of the night from the 10,000 strong crowd were for SHINee as they took to the stage and performed a medley of their hit songs like Replay, JoJo and Ring Ding Dong. The boys were also awarded the New Generation Artiste award.



For those who couldn’t be there, the awards ceremony will be shown via Starhub Channel 56 on April 2nd at 7pm, with a repeat on April 3rd at 12.30am. So make do first with the fancams shared by those who were there last night.









SHINee also met 3,000 over fans at their showcase at IMM on the 14th.

Having been welcomed warmly by thousand of fans on their last visit in late January, popular idol group SHINee will be descending on the shores of Singapore again this weekend where a similar situation will probably ensure.

SHINee will be making an appearance at the Singapore Entertainment Awards 2010, scheduled on March 13th at the Marina Bay floating platform. They will probably be picking up an award and do some performance.

The objective of the Singapore Entertainment Awards is to support the Chinese entertainment industry that popularises the use of the Chinese language. Apart from honouring the best talents in Singapore and Asia, it also helps to promote the local and regional Chinese entertainment scene. The award presentation cum concert will be telecast on Starhub Cable TV after the event at a later date.

Besides that, SHINee will also have an exclusive showcase on the afternoon of March 14th at IMM Level 3 Garden Plaza. For fans who already bought an album for their fan signing a few weeks ago, they would have to buy the album again on March 13th to get access to the showcase. Only 3,000 tickets are available for the showcase.

SHINee will return to Korea on the 15th, where they will work on their new album

On a recent episode of KBS JOY’s SHINee’s Hello Baby!, Jonghyun has revealed his celebrity crush after being crowned as the Best Father. He was given a chance to select a female star to make a special appearance on the set as their child’s daily mother.

“I want Lee Min Jung and Shin Se Kyung to visit us,” he confessed.

Whether these two starlets will really make a special appearance on the show remains uncertain. Considering their immense popularity, their appearance would definitely skyrocket the ratings.

This episode will be aired on the 9th.

Korea’s Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) has announced that they are currently investigating all celebrities bound to SM Entertainment regarding unfair contract terms, suggesting that “a second TVXQ scandal” like event may occur.


According to One Nation’s Jo Moon Hwan, it was revealed that KFTC is investigating cases of unfair contract terms in SME idols such as TVXQ (including Junsu, Yoochun and Jaejoong who are currently in legal disputes with their management company), SNSD, Super Junior, etc. for a total of 53 SME celebrities.

Jo Moon Hwan stated that the question and answer document received from KFTC specified investigations for all SME affiliated individuals for reasons related to a delay in taking care of TVXQ’s legal case. KFTC expressed,

“Through this event all celebrities in SME will undergo investigations to see if their contract terms go against the law of established fair contract terms, which is why TVXQ’s legal dispute is being delayed.”

Additionally, the commission said regarding TVXQ’s case, “All related documents will be carefully reviewed and considered for an appropriate outcome,” not revealing at what point the case would be over.

As you readers know, SM Entertainment has recently experienced many difficult trials as three members in TVXQ and Super Junior’s Hankyung underwent legal battles for problematic contract terms such as its 13 year length and unfair distribution of album sale profits.

Signing unfair contract terms with its employees is not only SME’s problem. Last December, KFTC requested 407 large agencies to address unfair contract conditions and undergo investigations. However, one month after this request was issued (until January) only 11 agencies reported their conditions and decided to take prompt corrective action measures, giving a huge shock to KFTC.

From April to May, YG Entertainment and Star Entertainment were also investigated along with 20 other companies. The results? 19 companies with 230 celebrities were found with contracts made up of various unfair conditions. These conditions were not about appearance limits but rather about the celebrity’s individual affairs such as telling agencies their current location and not being able to leave.

This investigation will concentrate on protecting weak celebrities who are powerless to request their affiliated large agencies for protection rights that they deserve.

SHINee’s leader Onew showed off the true power of musical ticket sales.

Remember when we received news that this smart idol will be debuting as an actor through the musical Brothers Were Brave? Well, when tickets for this highly anticipated musical went on sale later this afternoon, all three dates, which totaled to 2,400 seats/tickets, were sold out in about 2 minutes.

After Onew was casted in this musical, SHINee fans passionately visited various online blogs that analyzed which seats in the Coex theatre would be best to enjoy the musical. In addition, there have been many talks about a kissing scene in the play, which have made this musical a hot issue.

Meanwhile, Onew plans to concentrate on SHINee’s Asia promotions; in early March, he will then begin practicing for the musical.

Earlier in the week the boys of SHINee visited Cambodia to hold a concert at the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh. According to The Phnom Penh Post, the boys also made a generous donation of $10,000 US to the Cambodia Children’s Fund. SHINee even took some time to visit the orphanage and put on performances for the 100 orphaned children who lives at CCF.

That was very sweet of SHINee to do this, following the trend of helping Cambodia as seen by BEAST’s Doojoon and TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki’s Xiah Junsu.
